To be able to do comparison tests like these, that's why! We need to be reminded about what's so amazingly unique about these vehicles. Yes, I know the 3er Touring is available here, but the others aren't. Audi just gives us the Allroad now. And BMW, you need to produce an M3 Touring! And bring it to the U.S... please. Meanwhile, look at what the German market offers. Entry-level sportwagens are still enough to provoke lust.

I keep looking at Suzuki Esteem wagons just because they are so uncommon in the U.S. especially with a manual transmission. I think one reason I want one is because I used to laugh at them.

Yeah. That was closer to a hatchback though. Almost like the new Mazda 3 hatchback.
